La Pique Meridian flyover from North to South
Four local highpoints or peaks in a perfect north-south alignment, on longitude 2°17'50"E. This meridian is found in the Languedoc region in the south of France, at latitude 43°N. A fifth peak to the north provides a perfect sighting location from which to view the meridian stretching away to the south: four peaks in ascending order of height permanently marking and recording the exact due south direction in the landscape.
